5th Units

Ogre

Strength: 100
Cost: 50
Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Close

Information

Ogres are the most useless 5th unit available. Between cost and moves/round, there is no reason to employ them.

Orks

Strength: 100
Cost: 20
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Orks are not bad if you must have a 5th unit. They are cheap and at 3 moves/round can be of some use.

Olog-hai

Strength: 110
Cost: 30
Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Close

Information

Olog-hai are not too useful because of how slow they are.

Gargoyles

Strength: 120
Cost: 40
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Gargoyles are an alright 5th unit. Not only can they move 3 space/round, they can fly over trees and fenses.

Lizards

Strength: 110
Cost: 60
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Lizards are too expensive to be a good 5th unit

Skeletons

Strength: 100
Cost: 20
Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Close

Information

Skeletons are too slow and should be avoided

Bugbear

Strength: 100
Cost: 30
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Bugbears are not great, but can serve as backup in a hard situation

Fachan

Strength: 100
Cost: 40
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Full

Information

Fachans are one of the best 5th units for hire. The full attack range with 3 moves/round makes them very useful. When used for range attacks, the Fachan takes no damage. A Facham hired early on can last the entire game.

Wyvern

Strength: 150
Cost: 60
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Wyvern are expensive, but can be worth it. They move 3 space/round, can fly and have a strength of 150. They are nice to have when defending, since the enmey can't put of blockades that will stop them.

Gunners

Strength: 150
Cost: 40
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Far

Information

Gunners are nice for their range, moves/round and strength. Since they are distant attackers, they take no damage when fighting.

Shooters

Strength: 150
Cost: 35
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Far

Information

Shooters are a little better then Gunners. They have the same range, strength and speed, but cheaper.

Spearmen

Strength: 150
Cost: 20
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Far

Information

Spearmen are a great 5th unit. The price for their strength can't be beat, and their range attack keeps them at this strength. Speamen hired early on can easily last the whole game.

Pikemen

Strength: 150
Cost: 40
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Pikemen are alright--the drawback being the close range attack.

Lancers

Strength: 180
Cost: 50
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Lancers are one of the strongest 5th units available--strong then any of the gems. They are quick, strong and useful even against gems.

Warriors

Strength: 180
Cost: 60
Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Warriors are as powerful as Lancers but a little more expensive. Not a bad 5th unit, but take Lancers instead if you can get them.

Gems

Pluvius

Strength: 160

Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Outer

Information

Pluvius is the strongest gem in the game. His outter attack radius is very useful for taking on castles. Pluvius's weakness is speed--only 2 moves/round.

Zendor

Strength: 150

Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Outer

Information

Zendor is the most useful gem of the game. His attack radius, speed and strength are ideal, even against the Fire Dragon. Bring Zendor when you need to win.

Skulryk

Strength: 110

Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Outer

Information

Skulryk isn't the strongest, but his attack radius and speed make him one of the more useful gems.

Empyron

Strength: 140

Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Close

Information

Empyron is fairly strong, but slow and has a poor attack radius. He makes good cannon fodder for other gems/5th units.

Scylla

Strength: 130

Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Close

Information

Scylla is probably the least useful gem. She's slow, weak and has only a close attack radius. But she's not bad for defense.

Chylla

Strength: 120

Moves per round: 3
Attack radius: Close

Information

Chylla is quick but only has a close attack radius. Still, the speed can be useful.

Pastha

Strength: 160

Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Close

Information

Pasthas are granted when the ruler has been good to the people. They are free, only good once and automaticlly elected 5th unit if attacked. I personally think they would have been more useful at 3 moves/round--but they can't. Pasthas hold their own against the Dragon and because of their strength make good cannon fodder. They are great backup for weak lands since they cost nothing

Fire Dragon

Strength: 160

Moves per round: 2
Attack radius: Full

Information

The Fire Dragon can be a tough advisary and not a bad gem to have. The full attack radius and strength are the best thing about the Dragon. But because of it's speed, the Dragon isn't as useful as faster gems.
