Erin and Ander Scenario

Background

There are seven families at the start of this scenario. Using the ranks of the vassals, the rating from best to worst is Blanche, Lyle, Lankshire, Coryll, Flax, Chrysalis and Molbrew. You can play as Blanche, Lyle, Coryll and/or Chrysalis. Blanche and Lyle are easy, Coryll medium and Chrysalis quite difficult.

Blanche Family

Information

As usual, the Blanche family is the best setup. Three province, one of which, Banshea (4), is completely surrounded. This means those troops can all by moved to the front. Of the family, Roland, Karl and Anselm are all solid political figures. Roland and Pender also have decent war power. Pender is #4, Roland #6 and Erin #7 for war power.

Lyle Family

Information

The Lyle family is also quite powerful. Their position might almost be vulnerable if it were not from the empty lands of Dunmoor (1), Erewood (9) and Rodale (10). The computer always moves few troops into those provinces if it takes them. They make easy targets if not fortified.

If playing just as Lyle, it's not a bad idea to start by taking Dunmoor (1) and Cobrige (3) as soon as posible. This isolates bith Dunmoor (1) and Carveti (2). Then taking out Lisle (8) will eliminate the Chrysalis family and gain the gem Chylla, as well as providing yet an other isolated provinces.

Coryll Family

Information

The best thing about the Coryll family is it's location. Penzan (26) is isolated and Ashlan (25) has only two neighbors. Empyron is the 3rd most powerful gem, but isn't teirbly useful. He can only move 2 space per round and only battles up close. That isn't bad when fighting Scylla, which is the Flax's gem, but not great after that. Ashlan (25) has Lancers for hire, which are seperior in both strength and speed. Belgam (27) has Gunners for hire, which with a speed of 3, strength of 150 and the range of archers make for a very useful 5th unit.

Playing as Coryll, take some time to develop cultivation and protection and food/gold trading. Don't bother trying to fight early on--it's better to build up. Playing safely, this scenario can be beat in about 4 years.

Chrysalis Family

Information

The primary difficulty playing as Chrysalis comes from two facts. Garth's war power is only 67 and the only sector Garth can attack is province Norwood (7), which is occupied by Wolfen who has a war power value of 90. This makes an initial start difficult. Once Norwood is taken, however, Elgis is best to put on the front. Elgis has a war power value 93, he is the best in the scenario.
